The maintenance & engineering manager will plan, coordinate, and direct the engineering and maintenance functions of the plant. Responsible for asset reliability, execution of capital projects, and the hiring and supervision of specialized technical services. Leads maintenance programs, drives continuous improvement and operational excellence, and fosters a culture of safety, sustainability, and technical talent development. Participates in strategic planning and decision-making to enhance operational efficiency.
responsibilities
1. plan, coordinate, and lead engineering and maintenance operations to ensure asset availability, reliability, and efficiency.
2. recruit, develop, motivate, and evaluate technical staff, fostering a performance-driven culture.
3. design and implement maintenance systems aligned with tpm and rcm principles.
4. lead tpm pillar implementation, including autonomous and planned maintenance, and skills development.
5. manage budgets for operations, ensuring cost efficiency and roi.
6. evaluate and execute engineering projects to improve infrastructure, energy efficiency, safety, automation, and digitalization.
7. manage capex projects using project management methodologies.
8. ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
9. establish and monitor kpis such as mtbf, mttr, oee, and asset availability.
10. conduct root cause analysis of failures and lead corrective actions.
11. oversee cmms data integrity and actions traceability.
12. monitor critical equipment condition using predictive maintenance techniques.
13. ensure scheduled maintenance during shutdowns without operational impact.
14. review and approve contracts with maintenance and technical service providers.
15. promote continuous improvement and standardization initiatives.
16. manage global engineering, energy, reliability, and sustainability initiatives.
17. manage spare parts inventory and technical stock levels.
18. implement and ensure business continuity plan compliance.
19. represent the area in audits and lead resolution of findings.
20. establish technical standards and maintenance procedures.
21. manage technical training, certification, and knowledge transfer.
skills
* bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related.
* at least 8 years of leadership in industrial plant environments.
* knowledge of tpm, rcm, cbm, lean manufacturing, six sigma, project management.
* proficiency with cmms, sap pm, etc.
* strong analytical, leadership, and execution skills.
* advanced english proficiency.
