Senior education manager
role overview
we are seeking an experienced and strategic senior education manager to oversee the development, deployment, and evaluation of contemporary retail education initiatives across singapore. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in learning and development, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for fostering learning and development within a commercial environment.
the ideal candidate will have proven experience in educational program management, curriculum development, and team leadership within the beauty or retail industry. They will possess knowledge of contemporary adult learning and development concepts, instructional design principles, and be proficient in using educational technology and software. Additionally, they will have strong organizational and project management skills to balance and prioritize multiple tasks.
key responsibilities
* education strategy: translate regional retail education strategies for market deployment.
* training needs analysis: conduct training needs analysis as/when required to stay updated on market skill level learning gaps of retail employees.
* program implementation: adapt and implement comprehensive education programs and initiatives for retail employees, including beauty advisors and store management teams.
* learning transfer: implement strategies to facilitate the transfer of learning on the job.
* quality assurance: monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and initiatives through assessments, feedback, and data analysis.
* stakeholder management: collaborate closely with regional team and build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in store teams, brand partners, and corporate partners.
* budget management: forecast and manage departmental resources.
* compliance and standards: ensure all educational programs and initiatives comply with standards and policies.
* innovation and improvement: stay up-to-date on beauty trends and developments in adult education and retail industry and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in program design and delivery.
* reporting and documentation: prepare and present reports on program performance, outcomes, and impact.
requirements
* a bachelor's degree in education, business, or a related field or a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
* proven experience in educational program management, curriculum development, and team leadership within the beauty or retail industry.
* knowledge of contemporary adult learning and development concepts, instructional design principles, and proficiency in using educational technology and software.
* strong organizational and project management skills to balance and prioritize multiple tasks.
* excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, including presentation and facilitation skills.
