The strategic buyer has principal responsibility to ensure best price, best quality, service, payment term and delivery term to meet customer demand. Working closely with the supply base, they are accountable for supply continuity and costing in order to effectively meet both the customer’s needs and our internal supply chain metrics.

- identify potential suppliers
- evaluations to supplier to assess their capabilities, reliability, and quality standards.
- conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities.
- negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements.
- collaborate closely with internal departments to understand their sourcing needs, specifications, and requirements.
- regularly review and analyze sourcing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in regulations that may impact sourcing strategies.
- identifies opportunities to reduce costs associated with procuring and distributing parts

- *bilingual spanish/english is required*:
- 4 years of experience in ems industry material sourcing
- bachelor’s degree as an electronical engineering or related field
- knowledge of erp system, sap is preferred
