Procurement executive role
the procurement team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced procurement executive to join our organization.
this key role will play a crucial part in driving business growth by executing day-to-day sourcing activities to meet or exceed organizational expectations. The primary objective is to source goods at the best overall value, considering price, quality, and delivery.
* oversee program purchasing activities and execute decisions aligned with customer demands and commodity strategies.
* manage suppliers within assigned programs throughout the program lifecycle, including rfqs, change management, contract negotiations, payment queries, and dispute resolutions.
* perform cost analysis on goods purchased through competitive bidding and/or cost breakdown analysis.
* purchase goods, materials, and services that meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery targets.
* utilize strategic sourcing practices to select best-value suppliers and execute sourcing as specified by internal processes.
* prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and program targets.
* mitigate supply problems impacting business operations and ensure compliance with internal systems such as yf ios and pmp to meet audit requirements.
* support make-or-buy decisions and materials best practice activities, including va/ve and kaizen.
* actively seek opportunities for cost reductions, quality improvements, and speed of delivery with suppliers for the benefit of the company and customers.
* lead discussions with suppliers on changes to product, processes, or cost affecting agreements or relationships.
* identify risks in the supply chain and drive solutions to mitigate risks.
* act as the interface between suppliers and other departments at yanfeng, ensuring supplier compliance with po and agreement terms.
* travel to suppliers and internal plants up to 25% of the time to support operational needs.
required qualifications:
* bachelor's level degree in supply chain management or similar area of study.
* 3-5 minimum years of experience within the industry, automotive or commodity related, purchasing experience, operational and strategic industry.
