We are looking for a quality engineer responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and implementing best practices in quality management. You will lead initiatives to improve quality performance metrics and support a zero-defect mentality within the department.

what you will do
* maintain a safe work environment and enforce 6s practices.
* lead improvements in quality performance metrics (qn, scrap, non-conforming material).
* respond to customer issues with effective containment and corrective actions; prepare 8d reports.
* guide the development of inspection requirements and product processing techniques.
* plan and report on product/process changes using statistical tools.
* collaborate on qualification, ppap, and safe-launch of products, supporting the apqp process.
* ensure effective deployment and periodic review of fmea, control plans, and process flows.
* contribute to molex quality and environmental systems compliance, including iatf 16949.
* participate as a member of the internal audit team.
* perform other duties as assigned.
who you are (basic qualifications)
* bachelor’s degree in engineering with background in quality.
* robust experience in automotive manufacturing or quality-related field.
* molding and assemblies process knowledge; familiarity with iatf 16949.
* statistical and quality tools. Application of spc, gage r&r, design of experiments.
* working knowledge and actual experience in application of quality problem solving tools: rc/ca, 5-why analysis, cause-and-effect analysis, 8d problem solving.
* advanced proficiency in english.
