**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Data entry and design of open web steel joists in design program.
- Prepare shop orders and details for fabrication.
- Check designs and shop orders for other designers.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Meet schedules for assigned projects.
- Calculate tributary loading and end reactions.
- Learn, implement, and assist development of design procedures.
**Required**
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have good computer skills and strength in geometry.
- Ability to learn and understand complex components associated with a manufactured product.
- Degree or experience in Civil Engineering or a similar field.
- Flexibility with working overtime.
**Preferred**
- AutoCAD experience.
- MS Office Suite experience.
- Experience with structural steel design is a plus.
