reporting to the global vehicle validation & adaptation engineering lead, this role takes full ownership of the full‑lifecycle management of vehicle localization adaptation engineering for the mexico market. You will lead regional validation system development, test site operation, and the implementation of localization access & validation strategies for global models, to ensure product reliability, compliance, competitiveness and optimal user experience in local market.

key responsibilities
1. Vehicle validation & issue resolution
with 10+ years of experience in cockpit, intelligent driving, powertrain or road test development & evaluation, lead vehicle performance validation, issue identification, root‑cause analysis and closed‑loop rectification for local market. Conduct test evaluation and performance calibration under regional typical driving conditions, extreme environments and user scenarios.
2. Regional demand research & validation strategy development
deeply study regional regulations, testing standards, market access requirements, road conditions, climate, fuel quality, driving habits and user pain points. Define regional validation boundaries and key priorities, and deliver vehicle validation plans, test matrices and evaluation criteria tailored to local market characteristics.
3. Top‑level localized adaptation engineering & global strategy implementation
• lead the development of regional adaptation engineering system, build a regional technical framework covering climate, road infrastructure, user behavior and regulatory compliance.
• define and maintain core global vehicle adaptation specifications, including key localization indicators for powertrain, chassis, electronic control, heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, fuel compatibility and electrical systems.
• drive global reuse and regional customization of adaptation technologies, to guarantee vehicle durability, reliability, comfort and functional availability in target market.
4. Test site operation & local resource management (core priority)
• manage daily operation of regional test sites & laboratories, including test planning, facility maintenance, capability building, quality control, cost and efficiency optimization.
• lead regional test resource planning and capacity improvement, build localized test capabilities and standardized workflows to support full‑vehicle development validation, durability, calibration and compliance certification tests.
• be proficient in local policies & practical processes including vehicle customs clearance, inspection, license registration, temporary permits and road test authorization.
• build and maintain local resource networks including third‑party certification bodies, test grounds, traffic authorities and clearance agents, with strong capability of resource integration and rapid issue resolution.
5. Cross‑regional collaboration & business travel
use english as working language to collaborate efficiently with global r&d, testing, compliance, supply chain and regional market teams. Adapt to cross‑cultural & cross‑timezone teamwork, and accept necessary business travel for road tests, headquarters alignment and certification audits.
qualifications & requirements
1. Professional experience: 10+ years of working experience in cockpit, intelligent driving, powertrain, road test development, validation engineering or vehicle adaptation development at mainstream global oems or tier‑1 suppliers is preferred.
2. Regional expertise: in‑depth knowledge of local testing standards, access regulations, road conditions, climate features, fuel quality and differentiated user demands; capable of identifying regional‑specific issues and developing targeted validation solutions independently.
3. Strategic capability: proven experience in localized adaptation engineering planning, specification definition and validation strategy formulation; experience in multi‑market vehicle access and validation system building is a plus.
4. Site & local compliance: experience in laboratory/test site operation management; familiar with local customs clearance, licensing and road test compliance; existing local resource network is preferred.
5. Language & soft skills: fluent english (written & verbal) as mandatory working language; strong problem‑solving, project delivery and cross‑cultural communication skills; willing to work overseas and take business trips.
preferred qualifications
• hold local mexican nationality, permanent residence or long‑term legal work permit.
• complete project experience in vehicle homologation & market certification.
• hands‑on experience in extreme environment tests: high temperature, high altitude, cold resistance, coastal salt spray and off‑road condition adaptation.
• experience in project management, team leadership or test site construction.
