*perform db2 installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance*
*handle database performance monitoring and tuning*
*manage db2 utilities: reorg, runstats, copy, recover, load, unload*
*backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning/support*
*handle db2 security, access control, and audit compliance*
*support production incidents and root cause analysis*
*implement database best practices and documentation standards*
*ensure system stability and sla compliance*
* required skills*
*strong experience as a db2 admin on mainframe (z/os)*
*hands-on with db2 utilities (reorg, runstats, copy, recover)*
*experience in db2 performance tuning and monitoring*
*knowledge of jcl, tso/ispf*
*understanding of database backup/recovery strategies*
*strong troubleshooting and communication skills*

*banking/financial domain experience*
*knowledge of cics / ims / cobol (plus)*
*experience with automation/scheduling tools (ca7, control-m)*
*exposure to db2 data sharing and sysplex environments*
