Process engineer role
the process engineer i supports process development, improvement, and optimization for safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The engineer conducts basic analysis, assists in implementing changes, supports production needs, and ensures adherence to iso standards.
main responsibilities
1. provide engineering expertise for assembly processes, methods, and technologies to ensure producible, quality product designs.
2. review and analyze manufacturing methods in sub-assembly and assembly areas, making recommendations and supporting implementation of projects.
3. review product designs for ease of manufacture, recommending enhancements for quality and producibility.
4. participate in design reviews, chartered project team activities, and value engineering to reduce costs and increase customer value.
5. review manufacturing procedures, make recommendations, and coordinate projects for efficient manufacturing costs and enhanced quality.
6. participate in product improvements using design for manufacturing (dfm) analysis and ergonomics.
7. perform duties utilizing tools and techniques like predetermined time standards, line balancing, simulation modeling, and statistical process control.
8. coordinate programs based on long-range activity forecasts, including facilities, equipment, and manpower requirements.
required skills and qualifications
* 0-2 years of experience
* bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering
* exposure to lean manufacturing and six sigma principles
* ability to communicate effectively with internal customers
