Industrial engineer job description
as an industrial engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting station/gateway operations on site. You will analyze and develop improvement initiatives and execute base pdca or dmaic.
job responsibilities:
* create short-term and long-term plans regarding expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles, and products at operations.
* provide technical training to personnel in workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training sessions in areas such as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and manpower scheduling.
* monitor productivity, service, and cost performance across all operational areas and assist personnel in implementing required changes.
* maintain communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical expertise related to facility requests, including lease termination, new location, five-year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justification.
* assist in studies designed to implement innovative engineering concepts into operations to benefit fedex and its customers.
* prepare management information systems to aid in controlling and developing operational goals.
* participate in special staff support projects.
* evaluate that operating plans comply with safety and legal standards.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineer or industrial and systems engineer.
* english language proficiency with a minimum toeic score of 650 or toefl score of 550.
* desirable additional knowledge in:
o six sigma.
o lean manufacturing.
o iso9001 or other iso standards.
o supply chain or logistics.
