the work you'll do:
a web developer applies a systematic approach to the development, delivery, maintenance, and operation of software products and services. They work with others across the business to understand customer needs and develop high value solutions. They are accountable for the design and implementation of solutions that meet software functional and non-functional requirements and adhere to established development standards. Throughout the lifecycle, the software engineer is a consultant to others in their area(s) of expertise and they continually develop skills relevant to their role.
what we need from you
1. ba/bs degree in computer science, software engineering or related software engineering experience
* 2-4 years of software development experience with web technologies (html, css, javascript), mainly with angular
* english level: upper-intermediate
* availability to attend the office once or twice a month (condesa, cdmx)
key position specific responsibilities:
2. able to facilitate basic sovos sdlc meetings
3. knowledgeable in other process improvement methodologies (lean, kanban, xp, etc.)
4. able to coach other team members, lead junior developers on shared stories & tasks
5. interact with internal stakeholders and customers around requirements, issues and other common matters
* experience and ability refining and improving development tools (ide, jenkins, test harnesses, etc.)
* ability to share technical knowledge with other team members
* consistently develop high quality code consistent with sovos conventions and accepted coding best practices, including design patterns
* draft designs and documentation for major functionality
* triage and resolve most customer escalations independently
* consistently identify impediments and play an active role in their resolution
* help other team members identify, elaborate and solve problems
* acts with integrity and demonstrates ethical behavior in all matters with all stakeholders
* takes full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction
* demonstrates initiative, drive and determination to achieve results, success and growth
* maintains a high level of energy, enthusiasm, engagement and commitment to action
