We operate in several natural and man‐made crisis in various regions of the world. The emergency response is composed by multi‐sectorial interventions comprising of wash, eie, cva, food security, protection, and others. We operate also in protracted crisis with provision of humanitarian aid through a prevention, emergency relief and rehabilitation approach. In the last 4 years we have strengthened the regions and the countries where we have been working, we have created new programs, developed new quality and compliance systems and now we need new people who want to join us to build the world we want in the coming years. * we have been working in tunisia since 2012, mainly in sidi bouzid, kasserine, and kebili.
* weworld operates in tunisia with a primary focus on young people and women, aiming to strengthen their resilience by promoting their participation in economic, social, and political public life.

* weworld has been operating in libya since 2018. Since 2022, weworld has developed its hdp nexus approach based on a conflict sensitivity approach (csa).
* operating in southern libya with a major role in the wash sector and strong partnerships with national and international stakeholders.

purpose of the role
the head of programmes (hop) oversees the implementation and development of weworld's programme portfolio in tunisia and libya, ensuring the quality, relevance, and impact of ongoing projects. Reporting to the country representative, the hop supports strategic planning, supervises programme teams, ensures donor compliance and timely reporting, and contributes to resource mobilization. The hop also supports the coordination of multi‐stakeholder consortia and maintains relationships with institutional donors and partners.
main functions and duties
* ensure leadership and projects/programmes quality implementation in coherence with weworld strategy, contextual needs and that contingency plans and corrective measures are applied whenever needed.
* support and ensure coordination with project managers in planning, monitoring, and reporting of activities and results.
* coordinate with finance manager and country representative, to ensure satisfactory management of project budgets for projects within countries' portfolio.
* ensure projects comply with internal policies, donor regulations, local legislations and professional standards.
* lead coordination and quality assurance across sectors: protection, education, livelihoods, civil society, basic assistance.
* direct follow up/implementation of projects without a dedicated project manager whenever needed and based on country representative's orientations.
