poly is seeking a talented hardware design test engineer to contribute to the testing, development and/or sustaining of electrical-mechanical hardware products. This role will primarily focus on performing testing and technical assessments in support of hardware development and ongoing product quality. Perform technical, engineering testing, analysis and design for the development of hardware products.
*your day to day*:
- understanding and testing to requirement specifications
- proactive collaboration with the mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams
- performing engineering analysis and verification
- hardware design assessment and failure analysis
- defining, assessing, tracking and communicating tasks
- creating test reports and communications which are accurate and thorough
- delivering high-quality results on-time.
*what you bring to the team*:
- bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and/or computer engineering with 3+ years of individual contribution in engineering & testing of electro-mechanical hardware products
- experienced in test methodologies, use of test equipment, analyzing test results, debugging failures, and creating test reports
- experienced in creating/using test automation scripts and software language(s) for testing, environments like labview is desired
- experienced in reading and interpreting schematics and technical specifications
- able to independently create and execute test plans
- able to complete tasks while facing challenging schedules and difficult project deliverables
- must have experience with electrical-mechanical systems testing & analysis
- must be fluent english and spanish in both writing & speaking
- must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable delivering presentations and influencing technical meetings
- experience with video conferencing hardware, cameras, and speakers is desired
