Overview
project purchasing buyer at bosch méxico — role focused on purchasing leadership for product projects during the pdp process. Acts as the first point of contact for purchasing-related topics in product projects, ensuring early involvement of purchasing in all new product projects. Ensures required purchasing operations are executed within the given time and cost frame and supports the achievement of project targets from the purchasing perspective.
responsibilities
* initiate and coordinate all purchasing-related activities in alignment with the “activity list purchasing” within the product development process (pdp).
* track target costs and report gaps; ensure achievement of purchasing-related milestones within the pdp.
* accountable for application of project-specific purchasing tools and ensure these tools are used effectively to support project execution (e.g., activity plans, sourcing papers, new parts tracking, process descriptions).
* track purchased parts, report status to the project leader and core team, and coordinate work packages with affected departments (tevo or similar reporting methods).
* maintain continuous information flow within the purchasing organization and provide updates on the project’s status and purchasing issues.
* drive and apply management escalation for key issues to keep project objectives on track.
* material master maintenance: responsible for esn, purchasing group, and tool rent relevance in the material master.
* collaborate with internal stakeholders (notably mgm) to ensure cohesive strategy at the project level and coordinate the interface between purchasing and pdp.
* act as the primary contact to cross-functional teams regarding the pdp process and ensure coordination of purchasing strategies.
qualifications
* knowledge of production processes (e.g., plastics, metals, etc.).
* professional standard in purchasing and production familiarity.
* soft skills: outstanding team-player, intercultural empathy, excellent communication and moderation with various stakeholders; english level: advanced (c2).
