Job opportunity:
this role encompasses the development and implementation of a comprehensive on-the-job training (ojt) program across all manufacturing sites. The technical training lead will be responsible for establishing a robust training center model, designing technical certification pathways, and building sustainable frontline training capabilities.
* develop a standardized ojt program across production, maintenance, and other idl roles.
* promote structured training centers and create processes that support on-the-job learning, cross-training, and upskilling across lines and shifts.
* collaborate with site leadership, engineering, and hr to ensure training materials reflect current processes and safety requirements.
certification models
* design, implement, and monitor certification pathways aligned to operational complexity and regulatory compliance (gmp, osha, stps).
* update training matrices to align with site needs and integrate with career path frameworks.
* manage systems for tracking training completion, expiration, and re-certification needs.
trainer coaching
* build and coach a network of frontline trainers capable of delivering consistent technical instruction using adult learning principles and standardized work methods.
* evaluate trainer effectiveness and provide continuous feedback and development.
* lead train-the-trainer programs and support internal instructor certification.
content development
* oversee creation and continuous improvement of sop-based, video, and interactive training content.
* partner with internal comms and digital learning teams to scale training content via lms and mobile platforms.
* support implementation of tablets and mobile stations to deliver real-time, shop-floor training.
cross-functional leadership
* serve as the key liaison between hr, engineering, ehs, qa, and operations to align training with broader goals.
* participate in external audits and internal process improvement initiatives.
* partner with external vendors to co-develop high-impact programs.
