Responsibilities
* perform complex chemical analyses on biological samples.
* interpret test results, identify anomalies, and provide recommendations to manufacturing or healthcare professionals.
* develop, validate, and implement new assays and methods to improve laboratory services.
* participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable laboratory results.
* collaborate with healthcare professionals, scientists, and other laboratory personnel to provide expert advice and support.
* keep abreast of advances in clinical chemistry, laboratory medicine, and related fields.
* maintain an adequate inventory of materials, perform lot control, and sample lot matching.
* schedule preventive maintenance and update records for designated areas; ensure calibration of laboratory instrumentation.
* maintain the quality control program.
* coordinate and ensure peer-to-peer competency training and assessment; demonstrate techniques and present educational information in a clear and organized manner; complete training checklists.
* responsible for the u.s., mexico, and u.s. quality control laboratories that analyze raw materials, in-process and finished products, and work on r&d, new products, new assays, analyzers, reagents, etc.
* have a scientific approach to continuous improvement, problem‑solving, and training.
qualifications
* education: master’s or ph.d. in clinical chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
* experience: minimum of 2 to 5 years in a clinical or hospital-based laboratory.
* certification: board certification as a clinical chemist or equivalent (e.g., american board of clinical chemistry).
* strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* bi‑lingual in spanish and english.
* u.s. visa required. Sentri or the ability to obtain it is important.
* willingness to travel to the u.s. and santee.
* valid driver’s license, proof of current insurance, and a clean driving record.
* high degree of professionalism with the ability to be an energetic and passionate leader for the company.
