the fundamental goal of regional managers in marketplace is to help the team to set and build the future of our pricing, incentives, fares and maps for uber in latam. By working closely with product teams all over the world and regional teams spread around latam, we aim to deliver the best experience for our customers in the most efficient way.
- help develop, lead, and execute the earnings strategy for drivers across latam in order to achieve business priorities
- identify the root cause of earnings issues that lead to driver churn, propose multiple, actionable solutions, and weigh tradeoffs to recommend the best approach
- influence the product teams and stakeholders with data-driven analysis and propose solutions so they can develop tech that properly addresses earnings issues.
- execute, optimize, and scale core analyses and processes across latam and beyond, regularly reviewing performance
- proactively search for new features or improvements that could enhance the experience on and efficiency of our marketplace, measure their impact, and collaborate with product teams around the world to execute launches in latam
- maintain productive working relationships with immediate team and cross-functional stakeholders across operations, marketing, customer support, product, policy, and legal to scope, test, and implement initiatives
*basic qualifications*
- 3 to 5 years of quantitative experience with a consistent track record of solving analytical problems
- make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture
- ability to work and accomplish multiple tasks in parallel, delivering results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, while maintaining high-quality work standards
- data-driven decision mentality through strong analytical thinking
- sql proficiency
- python or r proficiency
- english and spanish proficiency. Being able to interpret and present data to various audiences in an engaging and comprehensive, yet succinct manner.
- knowledge of the mathematical foundations of statistics, optimization, analytics, and experimental design
- strong implementation skills and process design orientation
- ideal background experience in: consulting, investment banking, technology, any operations-intense fast-paced environment, entrepreneurial setting, or related field
- bachelor in economics, or engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics or business
