The controller i is responsible for leading local financial management. This role ensures accurate accounting records and compliance with financial standards in mexico and manitowoc corporate. The controller i prepares reports, leads monthly and yearly closing, and attends audit requirements. The position works closely with the regional controller and local management to provide reliable financial information and maintain internal controls. The controller for mexico shall monitor constantly the cash‐flow providing comments to variances and align cash necessities with regional finance and corporate treasury.
responsibilities
* close process: lead monthly, quarterly, and year‐end close; ensure reports are accurate and on time.
* budget: assist in annual budget and quarterly forecasts; help explain variances to department heads.
* accounting & compliance: ensure local, us gaap, and tax compliance; maintain internal controls and company policies.
* business support: provide financial data to gm and leaders (sales, costs, expenses, working capital); support monitoring local sales.
* cross‐area support: work with treasury, tax, corporate accounting, audit, and legal on local matters.
* cash‐flow management: provide weekly cash‐flow projections to corporate treasury. Monitor the necessity of operations and act in a timely manner to ensure the funds are available.
* administrative support: help with facility operations and daily needs across the region.

* experience – 5–7 years.
* english language knowledge (reading, writing, and speaking at a professional level).
* experience with erp systems and excel.
* knowledge of local accounting standards and us gaap.
* experience leading monthly close and audits is required.
* work experience in a multinational or regional environment is a plus.
