Be the person who keeps every legal record exactly where it needs to be.
We’re hiring a highly organized, detail‑focused Paralegal to take full ownership of legal document control for a U.S.-based law practice. Your job is to make sure every court record, filing, and case document is stored accurately, indexed clearly, and instantly retrievable — no matter who needs it or when.
You will work in real time with attorneys based in New York, supporting active cases, filings, and client work during Eastern Time business hours.
What You’ll Do
- Own document control: organize, label, and index all case files, court records, and supporting documents.
- Maintain clean structure: keep legal databases and digital files accurate, consistent, and easy to navigate.
- Work live with attorneys: ensure documents are accessible the moment they are needed.
- Track versions and changes: maintain full revision history and audit trails for all legal materials.
- Quality check every detail: confirm accuracy, completeness, and formatting before submission or filing.
- Protect confidentiality: handle all legal records with professionalism and full compliance with privacy standards.
Why This Role Matters
In legal work, a missing file, mislabeled record, or outdated document can stall a case or jeopardize a client outcome. Your precision keeps the legal process running smoothly and gives attorneys the confidence that nothing is ever lost, misfiled, or overlooked.
If you take pride in order, accuracy, and supporting high‑level legal work, we’d like to hear from you.
