*key responsibilities*:
- *purchasing management*:
- supervise and coordinate daily purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement of raw materials, components, and services.
- negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible outcomes.
- manage vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
- *erp system utilization*:
- use erp software (epicor experience preferred) to manage procurement workflows, inventory levels, and supplier data.
- monitor and optimize procurement processes using erp systems to ensure data accuracy, cost control, and efficient supply chain management.
- *inventory and cost control*:
- monitor stock levels and ensure that materials are available for production without creating excess inventory.
- collaborate with production and engineering teams to forecast material needs based on production schedules.
- implement cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities for alternative sourcing, bulk purchasing, and other efficiencies.
- *supplier development and coordination*:
- develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, both locally and internationally (including suppliers in the us, mexico, china, and india).
- collaborate with cross-border teams to ensure seamless procurement and coordination between tijuana and the us office.
- ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to international procurement.
- *team leadership*:
- lead and mentor a small team of purchasing agents, ensuring they meet performance goals and develop professionally.
- foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per month
