job purpose:
your role is to galvanize the organization to be vigilant about controls and always take proper action to protect our business. It is everyone's responsibility to drive stewardship, and you play a key role in elevating that message with specific focus on ice cream dsd mexico business.

establishing and maintaining a strong governance model for the entire company policies and procedures is one of your key responsibilities. You will be expected to apply risk and control concepts to new and existing business models, clearly and concisely communicate identified findings to senior leadership, and partner with cross-functions teams to design workflows in support of risk-reduction activities.
as this is a project based role, you will also be taking responsibility for cash and working capital monitoring and other projects that may be open during the course of the year.
the role reports directly to the latin america (excluding brazil) ice cream controller.
key responsibilities:
1. Understand business risks and ensure the business has robust internal activities, systems and processes to effectively manage and mitigate areas of risk. Strong communication skills critical as it involves coordination of several process owners and all areas of the business.
2. Evaluate controls on ice cream dsd operations including small distribution centers (agencies)
3. Ensure process owners are stewards of financial control.
4. Lead cash contribution process for mexico and north america
5. Lead operational audits in the business in mexico
6. Drive audits as required by corporate audit, external audit and support controls evaluation for new business models, review automation initiatives including bots/rpas to ensure controls impact is understood and addressed

* comprehensive understanding of various business functions and their interconnections and the way accounting works.

* proven experience in the design, control, and evaluation of business operations for effectiveness.
* extensive experience managing a diverse and complex range of stakeholders, including peers and third parties, while ensuring accountability.
* strong skills in presenting and communicating effectively with both senior finance and non-finance stakeholders.
* over 10 years of experience in finance, particularly in roles related to risk, controls & compliance.
