business: solicits customers for seica product sale opportunities and helps ensure current customer loyalty.
responsible for selling capital test equipment such as, flying probers, ict, functional, eol, etc.; assembly equipment such as, laser selective soldering equipment, loaders, lifters, stackers, label applicators, press fit equipment etc., and automated optical inspection equipment.
in this position the sales associate is part of a team that is offering standard and custom turnkey solutions in the test and assembly area. The sales associate has the opportunity to contact customers throughout mexico to help grow seica's revenue. The position reports to the mexico application manager with a dotted line to the north american sales and service manager. This position has a base salary and commission component. The main responsibilities of the sales associate are:
primary responsibilities
· travel to companies and businesses to sell equipment within the designated region.
· check out existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements working with contract and service sales personnel.
· provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements in order to establish negotiated pricing system contracts for assigned products.
· organize product demonstrations, installations, and application support working with team members.
· improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
· travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers to gain inside information on account strategy.
· receive orders and coordinate with inside application team delivery and execution plan.
· estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of manufacturing department's production and delivery schedules.
· arrange for installation and test/assembly-operation of equipment and recommends solutions to product-related problems.
· manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales territory.
· develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy monthly.
· review daily sales reports using sales software tools, such as insightly crm.
· review monthly the best monitoring sales report with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met.
· uncover specific test and reverse engineering projects and pass them onto the inside test and reverse engineering test group.
· can effectively interact with other seica sales managers on an as needed basis
· will be considered competent or expert in the area of flying probe test and re solution deliveries
· will be able to strategize and provide growth opportunities for seica on a national level
· ability to interact professionally and clearly with customers.
· be able to generate proposals, and quotations for customers.
· understand and be able to communicate to customers some basic requirements of our test and process equipment.
· understand the basics of how our products are used in the industry.
· ability to use search engineers to mine for prospect customers
· ability and willingness to send cold market emails and make 'cold calls"
· ability to support a customer meeting in a group setting to achieve the desired outcome.
· will be able to communicate effectively with customers who may have critical needs, unrealistic delivery requirements, or are unhappy with our performance.
· travel up to 50% of the time.
the sales associate must be able to work in a dynamic environment where there are often changes in priorities. In addition to the environment, the sales associate must have a good demeanor when interfacing with customers, be personable, and be able to listen carefully. The sales associate must be fluent in both english and spanish. The sales associate must be able to assess the customer problem if known, and if not, be able to ask curiosity questions that can assist in suggestion a seica solution.
the sales associate is expected to have some general knowledge in his/her field in regards to the seica products and some of the topics below;
a) in circuit test
b) functional test
c) smt line process flow
d) inspection techniques such as aoi, bed of nails, fp
e) requirements to quote testing solutions
f) requirements to quote reverse engineering solutions
g) reverse engineering
h) insightly sales tool
the sales associate will travel to some regional or national events to promote seica and its affiliate products and services.
