Vendor Business Manager (Cybersecurity)

Overview
Responsible for building and maintaining business relationships with assigned vendors, selling TD SYNNEX directly to vendors, and acting as subject‑matter expert for vendor technologies and programs.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain business relationships with assigned TD SYNNEX vendors to achieve optimal financial performance.
- Sell TD SYNNEX directly to vendors and serve as SME for vendor technologies and programs.
- Communicate vendor strategies, manage rebate programs, develop programs to support business unit direction, and collaborate with Marketing to drive demand.
- Manage the vendor business plan and implementation process throughout the TD SYNNEX organization, leveraging vendor strengths and resources.
- Communicate supplier strategies and benefits to TD SYNNEX organizations.
- Develop and present incremental funding proposals at the vendor level.
- Align vendor goals and objectives with TD SYNNEX to ensure mutual, positive results in the cybersecurity market.
- Determine, monitor, and recommend plans for the vendor‑TD SYNNEX business relationship at tactical and strategic levels.
- Implement business development strategy to increase market share.
- Support cross‑functional communication with TD SYNNEX product groups in price negotiations and market knowledge.
- Act as SME for assigned vendor technologies and programs (Checkpoint).
- Manage activities and programs that drive the vendor’s pro‑forma performance to achieve TD SYNNEX financial goals.
- Perform analysis and reporting of program impact for the vendor.
- Manage forecasting pipeline requirements and rebate projections.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience providing comparable knowledge and job skills.
- Experience in roles such as Vendor Manager, Product Manager, Account Manager, Channels Manager, or similar.
- Cybersecurity vendor sales certifications (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Trend Micro, Cloudflare, CyberArk) are advantageous.
- Results‑focused, with strong negotiation skills and a track record of winning key tenders and large deals.
- Expertise in the professional area with a general understanding of industry practices.
- Problem‑solving ability to develop solutions, evaluate projects, and determine best actions.
- Independence in performing work with judgment and discretion, with limited guidance on new assignments.
- Strong interaction skills, engaging with management and professionals within and outside the department and representing the department externally.
- Impact awareness, understanding how actions affect departmental and organizational success, including potential revenue loss or resource allocation.
