Semi‑Senior Apache Flink Developer at BairesDev
We are seeking an Apache Flink Developer to implement and maintain stream‑processing applications. You'll work with Flink core APIs, integrate with streaming data sources like Kafka, and optimize data pipelines for low‑latency, high‑throughput workloads.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute actively to Apache Flink and related open source projects as a core contributor.
- Develop and optimize stateful streaming and batch applications using Flink APIs.
- Implement connectors and integrations with Kafka, Hive, Iceberg, and other data systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on deployment, testing, and monitoring of streaming workloads.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in software development.
- Experience in distributed systems, stream processing, and real‑time data pipelines.
- Understanding of Apache Flink architecture, including DataStream, DataSet, state management, and checkpointing.
- Proficiency in Java (primary), Scala, and Python (PyFlink) for integrations.
- Experience in performance tuning, scaling, and fault‑tolerant streaming systems.
- Core contributions to Apache open source projects (Flink, Kafka, Spark, Hive, or similar).
- Advanced level of English.
