Overview
Senior Supervisor Scheduling role at Kidde General Solutions. We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Master Production Scheduler (MPS) Specialist to be a critical part of the planning team. This role is essential for ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and inventory goals, directly impacting our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop the Master Production Schedule (MPS) according to the needs of our external customers (Forecast, firm orders), while considering production capacities.
- Load the leveled/smoothed demand to pull materials on time, in order to meet our metrics for On-Time Delivery (OTD), NITO, and E&O; (Excess & Obsolete Inventory), and provide information to internal customers.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Comply with the safety policies and rules of Kidde Global Solutions.
- Challenge current processes for information usage, aiming to reduce demand variations and loading errors, thereby reducing E&O; (Excess & Obsolete Inventory).
- Seek continuous improvement within the planning area.
- Provide support to ensure OTD (On-Time Delivery) compliance, reduce backlogged orders, and minimize E&O.;
- Ensure the timely loading of the MPS into Oracle and guarantee a 98% integrity of the schedule.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the MPS is being loaded correctly.
- Develop strategies to optimize company resources.
- Eliminate E&O; generated by changes in demand and ensure that Finished Goods (FG) without demand are inactive in the system.
- Generate reports with relevant information to keep our internal clients informed.
- Respond to Customer Service requirements in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Communicate with customers/CS regarding product arrivals at distribution centers or internal plants.
