Electrical equipment engineer
we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced electrical equipment engineer to join our team of battery innovators.
solid-state microbatteries offer multiple times the energy density and charge cycles of lithium-ion alternatives. We enable a wide range of battery shapes and sizes, unleashing designers' creativity and enabling previously impossible applications.
in this role, you will be responsible for installation, set-up, maintenance, and repair of roll-to-roll vacuum processing and manufacturing equipment.
* main responsibilities:
* become an expert on the toolsets and train others on use.
* develop procedures and practices to ensure the safety of both personnel and equipment.
* lead cross-functional teams to develop, design, and execute continuous improvement efforts to improve equipment effectiveness, throughput, uptime, and safety.
* collaborate with engineering and supply chain on the procurement of new equipment.
* develop, implement, and use equipment monitoring procedures to identify, reduce, or prevent equipment downtime, and improve throughput and yield.
* develop and execute preventive maintenance routines and procedures to ensure equipment reliability, throughput, and uptime requirements are met.
* installation, set-up, maintenance, and repair of roll-to-roll vacuum processing and manufacturing equipment.
* key qualifications:
* minimum bs degree in engineering or other science with 5 years' experience; or some level of technical education with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
* experience with ultra-thin web-handling (roll-to-roll) equipment and processes.
* proven history of learning new manufacturing equipment and becoming a technical expert.
* ability to work to project timelines and budgets.
* strong technical and communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
* ability to work in cross-functional teams to solve interdisciplinary problems.
* physically able to perform hands‑on technical tasks on process tools, including the ability to lift components within 95% ergonomic limits.
* excellent communication skills (both oral & written).
* operates with high ethics and integrity and is non‑political.
* able to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
