responsibilities:
* to facilitate dock availability and communicate relevant matters to ship captains and terminal representatives.
* coordinate with ship captains and principals regarding applicable regulations and interpretations, ensuring compliance with varying government requirements.
* prepare pre-arrival lists outlining required services for port entry, considering individual port circumstances and prevailing conditions.
* monitor services provided to ships, including accommodations, travel, and transportation for crew members.
* support clients in obtaining necessary services while in port, such as medical assistance or food deliveries.
* responsible for boarding duties upon arrival and departure of assigned vessels, including coordination with government officials.
* assist principals in monitoring and servicing their business operations by gathering details on entry and loading/unloading processes, drafting statements of fact (sof), and obtaining sofs from ship and terminal captains.
* prepare accurate pre-arrival documentation and visitor/supplier lists for vessels and terminals, coordinate navigation arrangements, update arrival details, and send arrival messages.
* collect and update daily cargo information, communicate updates to managers, collect output details, and send output messages and documents.
* innovate methods to reduce operating costs and find efficiencies for the port office.
