We’re looking for a Tech Lead, Web Development to guide our team in building world‑class web solutions. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll mentor developers, set technical standards, and still contribute code at a high level. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to drive technical excellence
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high‑performance web solutions using WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and technical guidelines for maintainability and security
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business needs into technical roadmaps and deliverables
- Oversee hosting and infrastructure (Kinsta, WPEngine, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, SquareSpace) to ensure performance, uptime, and security
- Design, build, and maintain custom WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow websites
- Implement and manage technical and on‑page SEO best practices (Core Web Vitals, schema, site speed optimization)
- Troubleshoot complex issues across browsers and devices while staying up to date on emerging web technologies
Nice to Have ✨
- Experience with A/B testing tools (VWO, OptinMonster, UserPilot)
- Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
- Familiarity with headless CMS architectures
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and development
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead or similar leadership role with a track record of delivering successful projects
- Deep expertise in WordPress development and strong command of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Strong understanding of technical SEO and on‑page SEO practices
- Experience with hosting platforms, domain management, and web analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, GSC, GTM)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
- A proactive, dynamic, and positive attitude with strong problem‑solving abilities
- A strong portfolio showcasing your past web development work
Salary & Benefits
- $3,500-$4,500 USD per month (depending on location and skills/experience)
- 15 days paid time off + Christmas Day + New Year’s Day paid off
