Will report to the Chief News Editor in Houston and collaborate with editors in the Americas and globally to maintain a high-quality news and analysis publishing flow.ResponsibilitiesEdit English-language news and analysis about a wide range of commodity markets across the Americas for online publication daily and in weekly reports, covering oil, refined products, natural gas, natural gas liquids, metals, petrochemicals, agriculture and fertilizer industries, and relevant geopolitical news.Coordinate with dozens of reporters across the Americas to file content that is heavily focused on physical commodity markets.Ensure timely publishing and high editorial standards; improve copy by clarifying language and structure and correcting errors.Work as part of a team of editors and reporters to monitor breaking and ongoing stories and maintain publishing flow.What We're Looking For In YouEnglish fluency.University graduate with demonstrated experience and skill in journalism, including reporting and editing.Ability to edit and publish a steady stream of daily copy from various industries and commodity markets with minimal oversight after training.Skill in deciphering unclear language and improving story structure to enhance copy.Basic understanding of markets, both financial and physical; experience covering physical commodity markets is a plus.Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with editors and reporters to stay on top of breaking and ongoing stories.Goal-oriented collaboration, with strong diplomatic, analytical and problem-solving abilities.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software platforms.What's In It For You13th salary paid annually.Profit sharing in accordance with Mexican labor law.Office located in a modern coworking space with parking available for employees.Individual medical coverage.Individual dental coverage.About ArgusArgus is a leading independent provider of market intelligence to integral energy and commodity markets.
