The company is a cost-optimization company helping businesses reduce waste and save money on their software subscriptions, with a particular focus on Microsoft licenses. Many organizations overpay for unused or unnecessary licenses, and the company provides visibility into usage data to identify overspending. On average, clients save up to 30% by right-sizing their licenses.
The Procurement Category Specialist – Marketing & Professional Services will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing spend across marketing services, advertising agencies, consulting firms, and other professional service providers. This role is highly collaborative, working across internal departments to deliver strategic procurement value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes including RFPs and supplier selection for marketing agencies, consultants, and professional service firms.
- Negotiate master service agreements (MSAs), statements of work (SOWs), and pricing frameworks.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, ensuring ongoing vendor performance.
- Collaborate with marketing, legal, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver value.
- Monitor market trends, benchmark pricing, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, guidelines, and contract terms.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of procurement or category management experience.
- Solid knowledge of the marketing services landscape (agencies, media, digital, consulting).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proven experience with contract management and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience working within SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business models.
- Familiarity with procurement tools and vendor management systems.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills for spend optimization.
