looking for an experienced hands on, multi task, firm leader person for production manager growing into a plant manager in the future.
this person mainly will be in charge of initial transfers of products and processes also involved from the beginning with the startup of the project in mexico, tijuana location.
1.
the position requires developing and managing multiple functional groups of initially approximately 30 people including manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, specialized technicians, quality control inspectors, material planner and buyer.

the general manager is responsible for all material resources, budgeting activities, manufacturing engineering processes, planning, purchasing, inventory management, quality control and building infrastructure.

the position requires direct leadership of services provided by the shelter organization such as hr, accounting, export/import logistics and compliance management of governmental regulations.

the general manager will identify and select an operational site in the city of tijuana or ensenada and lead the execution of tenant improvements.

the role is extremely strategic as it includes the transfer of a large number of unique, highly technical products and processes for which there are little to no substitute in the world.

these products are key to the us government military products as they are strategically installed on virtually any night vision compatible systems in the free world.

it is essential that the general manager develop a strong, capable and reliable human organization that will provide seamless continuity in quality and performance.
in addition, the general manager will collaborate closely with the president for developing and reviewing enterprise-wide objectives in line with the board of directors long-term strategies including possible acquisition strategies to expand.
experiência y requisitos
english spanish advance communications hands-on leader who has formed coached and led teams to success.
professional degree in engineering 10 + years' experience in production or plant manager activities preferably aerospace.
experience in managing operation site in mexico, preferably in a shelter organization ability to coach and lead lean activities.
coach teams, team player.
experience in privately owned, small business environment is an advantage
