Job objective
to lead, plan, and supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance activities for equipment, vehicles, and systems used in airport operations, ensuring their availability, safety, and regulatory compliance at all times.
key responsibilities
- develop and implement strategic maintenance plans for gse (ground support equipment) and airport systems. - establish and monitor key performance indicators (kpis) for efficiency, availability, and operational costs. - coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment. - ensure operational readiness and safety of critical airport assets. - ensure compliance with local and international aviation maintenance regulations (dgac, faa, iata, etc.). - oversee internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as needed. - lead and develop technical and administrative maintenance staff. - manage maintenance budgets, spare parts procurement, and inventory control. - promote process improvements and technological advancements in maintenance operations. - encourage use of cmms and iot technologies for equipment lifecycle management.
job requirements
- education: degree in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical engineering or related field. - experience: minimum 8 years in industrial or airport maintenance, including 3 years in a leadership role. - technical knowledge: airport gse (tractors, conveyors, gpus, stairs, etc.), aviation safety and maintenance regulations, maintenance management software (cmms)
