Role overview – structural project manager latam-based (remote, working under est timezone) the structural project manager will oversee, coordinate, and execute all structural engineering activities across the full project life cycle. From excavation and foundations to superstructure and complex systems such as cantilevered elements, this role ensures projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding structural integrity, leading teams, managing schedules, mitigating risks, and ensuring continuous communication with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, engineers, and clients. Key responsibilities ✔️ oversee and coordinate all parties involved in structural works (design engineers, contractors, inspectors, city representatives). ✔️ schedule and manage inspections to prevent costly delays. ✔️ manage the timing and integration of design, third-party inspections, and city approvals. ✔️ monitor execution of structural elements, ensuring compliance with design and local codes (including hurricane-resistant standards). ✔️ identify and mitigate risks related to foundations and waterproofing. ✔️ report progress, risks, and issues directly to the developer and project leadership. Required qualifications bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering (or equivalent). 10 years of experience in structural engineering project management. ️ Strong understanding of structural systems, including cantilevered elements and hurricane-zone requirements. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
