position summary:
the deployment planner is responsible for strategic and tactical planning of finished goods deployment across the distribution networks. This role ensures optimal product availability, inventory positioning, and service levels while minimizing cost and waste. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication and influencing skills, and experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
key responsibilities:
* accountable to own the deployment plan to ensure delivery of service, cost and cash metrics
* develop and execute deployment plans to move finished goods from manufacturing sites to distribution centers and markets within americas and globally.
* proactively identify supply risks and constraints; develop contingency plans to mitigate service disruptions. Communicate proactively to build alignment on action plans and own issue resolution.
* align deployment strategies with demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets.
* monitor and manage inventory levels across the supply chain to ensure product availability while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
* collaborate with demand planners, production planners, and logistics teams to balance supply and demand.
* partner with customer service, and logistics team to ensure alignment on deployment priorities, constraints and execution plans.
* analyze service, cost and inventory metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
* lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for deployment-related issues.
* utilize erp and advanced planning systems to manage deployment plans and inventory movements. Own master data accuracy to ensure accurate deployment.
* other duties as assigned to ensure efficiency of the supply chain
qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably in a cpg or fmcg environment.
* strong knowledge of supply chain networks in a manufacturing environment, inventory management, and logistics.
* proficiency in planning tools (sap, omp, kinaxis, etc.) and excel/power bi for data analysis.
* excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
* ability to work in a matrixed, multicultural, and fast-paced environment.
preferred skills:
* experience with s&op/ibp processes.
* familiarity with global trade compliance and international logistics.
* lean/six sigma or apics certification is a plus.
