we are seeking an experienced legal counsel with a strong background in the logistics and supply chain industry in mexico. The ideal candidate will bring deep legal expertise, particularly in regulatory compliance, commercial contracts, and operational risk management within the logistics sector. This position requires a proactive and business-minded professional who can provide strategic legal support to our operations in mexico.
key responsibilities:
- provide comprehensive legal support and guidance on all aspects of the company’s logistics and supply chain operations in mexico. - draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including transportation, warehousing, distribution, and vendor contracts. - ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to logistics, customs, labor, and corporate governance. - liaise with regulatory authorities and external counsel as needed. - identify potential legal risks and propose practical solutions to support business objectives. - support dispute resolution and litigation matters when necessary. - collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, hr, and compliance. - monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise management on their impact.
requirements:
- bachelor’s degree or above in law; licensed to practice in mexico. - minimum 5 years of legal experience in mexico, with a strong focus on the logistics, transportation, or supply chain sector. - background in reputable law firms and/or in-house legal departments of logistics or related companies. - solid understanding of local regulatory and legal frameworks affecting logistics operations. - excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. - bilingual proficiency in english and spanish is required; mandarin chinese is a plus. - strong business acumen and ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. - based in mexico or willing to relocate.
preferred qualifications:
- experience working with multinational companies or cross-border logistics operations. - familiarity with customs law and international trade compliance is a strong advantage.
