Purpose to perform a variety of administrative duties related to the temporary import of materials and the export of finished products. Responsibilities processes import/export documents in compliance with mexican and us customs requirements. Coordinates local traffic. Prepares customs reports as required. Files all customs related documents. Complies and adheres to internal customs department procedures. Participates and promotes activities to improve internal controls and requirements related to international business operations of the company. Follows all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area. Ensures compliance with environmental management system (ems) responsibilities. Is responsible to comply with company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations of the countries related to customs activity. Follows j&j and ees records management policies for convenience information, records retention schedules, training and education, document hold notices, records cleanout, inactive records and information management, vital records and third‑party vendor if applicable. Customs technical education or equivalent (preferred). Lean certification. 4–6 years of experience or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities.
