Job title: port operations representative
this role is responsible for providing logistics services to clients, ensuring the safe and smooth turnaround of vessels within designated jurisdictions.
* to manage local port conditions, communicate with ship captains and other representatives, and assist with advice on optimal port operations.
* coordinate applicable regulations, communicate with ship captains, and provide guidance on compliance.
* provide pre-arrival lists of required items for port entry based on individual circumstances.
* monitor services provided to ships.
* coordinate crew accommodations, travel, and transportation.
* support clients in obtaining various services needed by ships.
* perform boarding duties, meeting with captains to facilitate communication with government officials.
key responsibilities
1. maintain accurate records of vessel requirements and status.
2. collaborate with directors to resolve crew change issues.

required skills and qualifications
* foundational knowledge of port operations.
* proficiency in microsoft office suite, including outlook, excel, and word.
* bilingual skills in english and spanish (written, verbal, reading).
* able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and adapt to fluid ship schedules.
