Overview
IDC is seeking a Sr. Data & Analytics Analyst IT Services to join our established worldwide data and analytics research practice to focus on database management tools and technologies. The candidate will have to demonstrate an ability to understand both the existing and future capabilities across all types of relational, non-relational, and dynamic database systems that are capable of running operational or analytic data workloads. The candidate will also cover adjacent technologies used for data modeling, database development, tuning and maintenance. Research will include understanding market drivers and trends, buying behaviors, and the business value impact of these technologies. The candidate will employ IDC research methodologies to size markets and forecast market growth.

This role is ideally based in Mexico City offices with a hybrid work schedule. We will also consider qualified candidates in approved remote locations.
Responsibilities
This Senior Market Analyst position will be part of Latam Services research team (under Data and Analytics Group). Based in IDC Mexico office, the candidate is responsible for IT services market tracking, analysis, and reporting in Mexico.
- Conduct primary and secondary research using a variety of approaches.
- Schedule interviews, interact and build relationships with the IT services vendors and partner community in Mexico to gather information pertaining to performance, go-to-market and strategy.
- Market-sizing and forecasting - Data collection, input, market sizing and forecasting. Collate findings in proprietary IDC databases for further processing.
- Contribute opinions and publish reports on market technologies and trends within the research coverage.
- Lead technology / insights driven discussions and deliver key research results (to both internal and external audience).
- Engage in regional and local research engagements either as an individual contributor or part of a team.
- Support IDC's sales, consulting, and marketing teams by working on project proposals, developing market offerings and servicing clients.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in the IT services Industry experience, preferably in areas of strategy, consulting and / or professional services.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified Latam region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between MX$430,000 and MX$470,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
