we are looking for a highly motivated technology risk services professional at the consultant level to join our team. As a member of kpmg canada's cross-functional technology risk services practice, you will help enable our clients' cyber transformation journey through service delivery leadership, advisory, and support.
what you will do
as a consultant, you'll lead and work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include:
1. supporting key services including general/application control audits and assessments, soc 1 / soc 2 / soc 3 audits, cybersecurity and technology risk reviews, it infrastructure security assessments, project governance reviews, and iso assessments
2. reviewing new and existing systems for adequacy of controls, security, operational considerations, and project management
3. advising on business process controls
4. leading field engagement teams and mentoring junior staff
5. contributing to knowledge sharing through tool development and methodology enhancements
6. identifying and implementing process improvements
7. evaluating risks and controls associated with it applications, operating systems, databases, interfaces, and business cycles
8. engaging with clients to understand their environments and needs
what you bring to the role
9. completion of one or more of the following designations is an asset: cpa, cisa, cissp, crisc, cism
10. a post-secondary degree
11. minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in assessing it or business process risk, ideally within a consulting environment
12. strong understanding of business process controls, it general controls (itgcs), and controls-based audits/assessments (e.g., csae 3416, csae 3000, ssae 18)
13. experience testing controls across various it environments
14. familiarity with cloud platforms such as aws, azure, or others
15. knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as cobit, iso 27001/27002, nist, coso
16. experience in client relationship development, project management, and team leadership
