about international air tool company (iatc)

we are a niche distribution company based in san diego, california, specializing in providing high-quality pneumatic tools to the maquiladora (manufacturing/assembly plant) industry of baja california. Established in 2011, we are a very small, family owned, husband and wife led company with deep ties to the border and mexico.

our difference: we specialize in air tools for critical processes involving torque controlled assembly, sanding, grinding, routing, lifting, pumping, and more. Our strength lies in our advanced technical knowledge and the ability to offer flexible supply chain solutions that improve the flow of indirect materials to our clients south of the border.

we directly distribute world class industrial brands (no intermediaries) guaranteeing our clients access to the best quality prducts and lowest pricing on the market. Brands represented include ingersoll rand, cleco, dotco, apex, chicago pneumatic, walter, cs unitec, pferd abrasives and many more.

the challenge and the opportunity:

we are looking for a passionate sales representative with a technical mindset to empower and develop the baja california territory. This is an autonomous, home-office-based position, ideal for a professional with self-initiative and high self-discipline. We are looking for a hunter not a farmer.

* direct hiring through an outsourcing firm (includes prestaciones)

or

* external contractor option (simplified trust regime - resico - regimen simplificado de confianza) without a fixed work schedule - "sin horario fijo"

key responsibilities

as the owner of the territory, your main tasks will include:

* business development: create and implement a strategic growth plan for baja california.
* high-impact prospecting: conduct daily prospecting (visits, calls, email, linkedin) and meet a weekly quota for scheduled appointments.
* strategic relationships: meet with manufacturing engineers, production and maintenance managers, and mro buyers to establish long-term business relationships.
* technical consulting: tour plants to identify processes subject to improvement, and offer iatc equipment and solutions to increase productivity
* coordination and demonstrations with suppliers: organize on site equipment demonstrations with the support of our suppliers to close deals. Help pick the vendors up at the border and drop them back off at the end of the day.
* account management: identify weaknesses in the client's supply chain and propose solutions to help them with their sourcing needs. Utilize our large assortment of technology vendors to bridge gaps in our customers supply chains.
* internal support: actively collaborate and communicate with our internal customer service team (quotes, orders, follow-up).
* training and reporting: attend monthly meetings and training sessions in san diego and report weekly activities in a crm system (visa required)

essential requirements

* education: completed university degree (engineering or business degrees are preferred).
* experience: minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the maquiladora industry or industrial distribution (mro).
* skills: proven ability to think "outside the box" and focus on problem-solving.
* technical knowledge: basic understanding of power tools, industrial supplies (mro), and/or assembly concepts.
* technology: intermediate proficiency in microsoft word, excel, powerpoint, and email platforms (outlook/gmail).
* attitude: strong work ethic, professionalism, and a genuine interest in developing a long-term career.

important note on logistics: as a us company, we do not issue "invoices" (facturas) in mexico. All material is shipped to the border, and the maquiladoras handle their own importations.

* competitive compensation: attractive base salary plus a monthly commission plan based on results.

job types: full-time, part-time, commission

pay: $20, $50,000.00 per month
