The accounting analyst provides support to the senior accountant so the accounting balances and information of bdmx operations in ixtacuixtla and tijuana are accurate and reliable. She/he ensures that all journal entries are posted correctly and reconciles balances between ledgers. She/he provides support on month end closing activities ensuring that activities are completed on time and correctly. She/he will be responsible for posting customer payments and clearing them against invoices for bdus. The accounting analyst works closely with the senior accountant to observe us gaap and local gaap principles as well as head quarters requirements.
the accountan analyst is responsible for posting journal entries for ixtacuixtla and tijuana sites:
* including but not limited to payroll, accruals, benefits, etcetera.
* ensure that each manual journal entry has support documentation and approval.
* review that each entry is posted using the correct sap transaction, movement type, cost center and general ledger account.
* execute balance sheet accounts reconciliations including clearing and accruals release.
* prepare payroll reconciliation and validate fx revaluation within the reconciliation file.
* ensure that the fixed assets electronic backup is up to date.
* for 2024 consolidate all supporting documentation after each capitalization process.
* for 2023 traceback all supporting documentation in sap/archive to complete the electronic backup.
* posting customer payments in sap and clearing them against invoices for united states site.
* support external audits, transfer pricing and other external requirements as well as annual physical inventory process.
* support fixed assets physical inventory kick off and following process.
profile
2 – 5 years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in a production-oriented environment
* bachelor’s degree in public accounting or a related field
* basic understanding of accounting principles (ifrs and nif)
* experience working with an erp system (preferably sap)
* intermediate to advanced english
* microsoft office
