Overall
Responsibility
Safely transports patients to and from appointments or to other healthcare facilities as instructed.
Key Tasks and
Responsibilities
1. Transports patients to medical appointments or to emergency departments as instructed.
2. Assures the safety of patients being transported by assuring they are properly seat belted and/or in a child safety seat depending upon the age of the patient.
Conducts a safety inspection of the transport vehicle according to the procedures available in the check-out binder for the vehicle.
Assures that first aid and safety equipment are present in the transport vehicle.
Assure that transport vehicle is clean and disinfected as needed.
Assists the property manager in transporting vehicles for preventative maintenance and repair.
Any other duties assigned as assigned.
Skills and
Attributes
- Must have a safe driving record and possess a minimum of a Class E Missouri Driver's License.
- Trained in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid, Crisis Prevention Institute Training.
- Have good verbal communication skills.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with other staff.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to provide Crisis Prevention Institute Non-violence Crisis Intervention skills. Minimal lifting requirements.
Degree
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Licensure
Requirements
Possess a Class E or greater Missouri Driver's License.
Experience
Requirements
Must have driving experience. Experience with medical transportation is preferred.
