**More about the role**:
This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a part of our commodity team, the position is to be located in Apodaca, Mexico.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- ** Develop commodity-specific sourcing strategies**, including total cost-of-ownership models, cost-savings initiatives, and supplier improvement plans.
- ** Negotiate Price & contracts** (LTAs, NDAs, quality agreements) and manage supplier relationships to drive value and performance.
- ** Manage supplier performance and risk**, ensuring quality, delivery, and compliance across categories.
- ** Support New Product Introductions (NPI)** through cross-functional collaboration, supplier qualification, and sourcing planning.
- ** Collaborate closely** with internal stakeholders (engineering, finance, legal, operations) to align sourcing goals with business objectives.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree completed in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering — master’s degrees or certifications like CSCP, ISM, APICS, CPP are preferred.
- At least **5 years of progressive experience** in strategic sourcing, commodity or category management, ideally managing manufacturing or industrial commodities.

**Hard Skills**:

- ** Strategic Sourcing & Commodity Management -**Market research, category strategy, cost modeling, TCO analysis, sustainable value creation
- ** Contract & Supplier Management -**Contract drafting, negotiation tactics, managing supplier performance metrics
- ** Data & Analytical Tools -**Spend analytics, forecasting, scenario modeling (Excel pivots, dashboards)
- ** ERP / E‑Sourcing Platforms -**Experience with tools like SAP, Oracle, e-auction platforms for category management and general sourcing

**Soft Skills & Leadership**:

- ** Communication & Influence**: Present strategies clearly to stakeholders; coordinate across teams and suppliers.
- ** Negotiation & Conflict Resolution**: Lead win-win discussions and manage difficult supplier conversations without damaging relationships.
- ** Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Align internal teams, influence without authority, drive shared KPIs.
- ** Change Management & Adaptability**: Lead sourcing transformation projects; manage complexity in dynamic environments.
- ** Problem-solving & Analytical Mindset**: Use data-driven thinking to resolve issues proactively.
- ** Ethics & Sustainability**: Incorporate ESG, responsible sourcing, supplier segmentation, and compliance into decision‑making.
