Position overview
our international manufacturing client is actively seeking a highly skilled engineering professional to join their team in the role of costs with a focus on cost accounting.
Key responsibilities
calculate monthly gp per customer (normal production, mvr, consignment, spot‑buys) and perform client analysis with low gp.
Conduct cost simulation and scenario analysis.
Perform ppv analysis by customer.
Analyze freight in and freight out by customer.
Conduct allowance analysis by customer.
Analyze wl & scrap performance by part number.
Analyze labor and overhead per unit in production orders.
Review and prepare quotations, coordinating with a corporate sales representative.
Audit flat price routes, man‑time, and machine‑time.
Search for new suppliers for direct material.
Validate savings compared to ppv.
Implement and monitor safety equipment usage and comply with the company's code of ethics and conduct.
Qualifications & competencies
bachelor of science in engineering (manufacturing, industrial, or related).
Minimum 5 years in cost accounting with verifiable experience in manufacturing or automotive industry.
Proficient in excel, sap, 8d’s, apqp, msa, spc, fema.
Knowledge of iatf, iso, cel, ctpat, oas standards and ability to meet competency requirements for the position.
Identify environmental impact situations and act when applicable.
Commitment to the quality and environmental management system and rqr 056 roles and responsibilities.
