the chief financial officer is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and oversight for all mexico operations.
this role leads financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting processes, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and alignment with corporate objectives.
the position partners closely with executive and operational leaders to drive business performance, optimize costs, and support sustainable growth across multiple locations.
responsibilities
lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for all mexico operations.
provide strategic financial guidance and insight to the ceo and regional leadership team.
work effectively at both strategic and detailed levels, including completing financial analyses and related tasks.
ensure full compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate governance standards.
oversee accounting, treasury, audit, and financial reporting activities across multiple sites.
analyze business performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations to improve results.
partner with operational leaders to support cost efficiency, profitability, and investment decisions.
manage banking relationships, cash flow, capital expenditures, and risk management activities.
lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team across multiple sites.
implement continuous improvement in financial systems, internal controls, and processes.
serve as the key liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and local regulatory authorities.
drive financial strategy and long-term business planning aligned with corporate and regional objectives.
ensure accurate and timely consolidation and reporting to corporate headquarters.
member of the m&a team to evaluate potential acquisitions, business integrations, and restructuring initiatives.
provide financial leadership during audits, due diligence, and internal control reviews.
act as a strategic business partner in cross-functional decision-making processes, contributing financial insights to hr, operations, and commercial initiatives.
qualifications
bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
experience in the aviation industry (mandatory).

mba, cpa, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within multinational or multi-site operations.
deep understanding of mexican gaap, local tax regulations, and us gaap.
strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams.
excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
high proficiency in erp systems and advanced financial modeling in excel.
fluency in english and spanish, both written and spoken.
