We are looking for a skilled and experienced controller to join our team and oversee all financial operations.
responsibilities
* financial reporting and analysis
o oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements in compliance with us gaap and local regulations.
o provide detailed financial analyses and insights to support strategic decision-making.
* budgeting and forecasting
o lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
o monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions where needed.
* cash flow management
o maintain optimal cash flow levels by managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions.
o forecast cash flow needs to support business operations and growth initiatives.
* compliance and audit
o ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits in mexico and the united states.
o coordinate with external auditors to complete audits efficiently.
* process optimization
o develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and security.
o leverage technology and software tools to improve financial processes and reporting.
* team leadership
o manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
o collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with business objectives.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (cpa preferred).
* 8+ years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in a software or tech company.
* strong knowledge of us gaap and familiarity with financial regulations in mexico.
* proficiency in accounting software (e.g., quickbooks, netsuite) and financial planning tools.
* experience working with cross-border financial operations is highly desirable.
* excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* fluency in english and spanish.
