As the Business MI Analyst, you will be responsible to deploy fit‑for‑purpose MI solutions that deliver automation and actionable insights.
This role will collaborate with various functions such as Sales, Operations, Finance, Business & Technology, Logistics, and Supply Chain to develop digital solutions that align with business strategy.
MI solutions will utilize a combination of globally managed models and reports as well as local market‑specific data to resolve complex business needs.
You will be responsible for data accuracy, digital integrity, and supporting the team as an ambassador for digital fluency within the Performance Unit.
Job Summary
- Capture use case requirements and deploy the appropriate MI solution
- Generate insights and actions through MI, drive performance and optimization
- Develop dashboards to track business performance and custom reports for more detailed analysis
- Leverage global and local data to develop efficient and effective data models
- Develop a data model consolidation strategy to reduce maintenance requirements and expand use cases
- Identify and deliver process improvement efficiencies in Order to Cash SAP activities, including order fulfillment and customer experience
- Drive continuous improvement in MI automation through digital platforms with self‑serve products for organization
- Develop data quality checks to ensure accurate reporting of non‑financial data
- Ensure appropriate access control framework is deployed and maintained
- Adhere to Cybersecurity, PII and other data sensitivity compliance requirements
- Collaborate with peers and support multi‑functional teams
- Support business up‑skilling as tools evolve
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analysis, Statistics, Operations Management or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree desirable
Experience
- 5 years experience in a business analytics, requirements gathering, data mining, & dashboard development or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience deploying MI automation and analytics to drive business performance
- Desirable: EDI and other information exchange automation skills
Skills & Competencies
- Required: Proficiency in Power BI, Power App, Power Automate, or equivalent MI tools
- Desirable: SAP, IDOCs, Python, R, ESRI GIS, XML, SQL
- Data architecture experience including developing and maintaining star schema data models
- Ability to manage multiple levels of data granularity and data hierarchies within MI tools
- Strong documentation skills (capture user story, KPIs, development steps, UAT, portfolio tracking)
- Data visualization, business analysis, agile work practices, portfolio management and demand management
- Understanding of legal and regulatory environment and compliance (e.g. Cybersecurity, PII etc.)
- Knowledge of EDI (Common transaction sets, how it functions, able to interpret a message), Understanding of IDOC Interfaces including structure and working with tables
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with one or more supplier portals – e.g. RetailLink, Vendor Central, Ariba, Coupa

You will be part of a 3‑member Operational Support & Insights Team, working alongside seasoned experts in Advanced Analytics, Operational Support and Customer Excellence.
The team supports Castrol Americas digital agenda and business strategy.
You will engage with stakeholders across Castrol Leadership, Finance, Business and Technology, contributing to value‑driven insights and transformation.
Work location & Shift pattern
Santa Fe offices – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Hybrid: 2 days remote and 3 days in the office (Tue/Wed/Thu)
