in this role, you will be pivotal in managing supplier quality processes and ensuring that all sourced components meet stringent quality standards.your responsibilities will include supporting the launch phase of automotive tier 1 suppliers and driving continuous improvements in quality performance.as a senior supply quality engineer, your role will encompass the following activities:perform supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, supplier improvements, supplier capacity & capability assessment and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellencework with emsi supplier around design control, design verification and validation activities, production & process controls, corrective & preventative action, complaints and risk assessment & management with cross functional teams, and product quality improvement using tools such as six sigma, dfr, etc.work with emsi (electronic manufacturing services industry) supplier to ensure availability of parts & equipment & provide updates as necessaryensure timely test development or duplicationdeliver the ppap for all partswork collaboratively with internal and external partners to generate quality documentationwork with suppliers to ensure compliance to ge healthcare's quality requirementsperform design review between engineering & supplierssupplier & process developmentpart quality plan (pqp) element determination (fai, capability study, fmea, control plan, gage rr), approval & execution with supplierthe ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, electronic or materials engineering.
+5 years of experience in prior quality, manufacturing, product quality, supplier quality, supplier development or engineering experience in manufacturing environmentdata management/excelproject managementexpertise in emsi manufacturing processexperience with control plans, measurement system analysis, pfmea, ppap are a plus.experience with erp systems is valuable for sourcing and qualityadvanced english required (no negotiable)analytical problem solving & management of complex tasksleadership and influencehigh level of judgmentjoin us and be part of our commitment to quality excellence!
