Role Overview
Own day-to-day transaction coding, class tracking, reconciliations, and payment preparation to keep books clean and current for our accountant.
You’ll collaborate closely with a senior bookkeeper (Kosovo) and our operations teams to close each month fast and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Code and class high-volume monthly transactions in Quick
Books Online (cash basis) across multiple lines of business; maintain vendors/customers and bank rules.
- Perform bank/card/wallet reconciliations (Wise, bank feeds, Stripe/Guesty
Pay) and complete month-end checklists (target close: T+5).
- Map OTA/processor payouts (Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia/VRBO flows via Guesty/Stripe): gross → fees → net with correct classes/markets; track security-deposit/damage-waiver flows.
- Prepare Wise payment batches (maker role) with remittance notes and supporting docs; follow dual-control approvals.
- Maintain documentation and SOPs in Click
Up; keep an exceptions log (duplicates, missing invoices, uncategorized, disputes) and surface anomalies weekly.
- Support year-end workpapers and CPA requests; keep a clean PBC index of where everything lives.
Must-Haves
- Hands-on Quick
Books Online experience with high-volume coding and reconciliations.
- Wise experience; exposure to Stripe/processor deposits and fee mapping.
- English (working level) + Spanish (fluent).
- Advanced Google Sheets/Excel required (LOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots, text functions, CSV cleanup).
- Experience with Click
Up (or similar project management app).
- Detail-obsessed, checklist-driven, fast and accurate typist.
- Daily overlap of 3–4 hours with Europe/Bucharest (UTC+2).
Nice-to-Haves
- Hospitality or marketplace payouts experience; basic GAAP/IFRS awareness.
- Click
Up, Google Sheets Apps Script basics, or simple automation chops.
