about the role

this role will bridge the gap between design and development, contributing to the creation of compelling visual representations of data that drive insights and decision-making.
responsibilities and impact
* create interactive data visualizations through both third-party tools and in-house, custom‑coded solutions.
* make improvements to existing interactive chart templates.
* explore sdk and live api capabilities for our third‑party interactive charting tool, flourish.
* act as liaison between the design team and the product team to ensure our visuals are optimally and accessibly displayed.
what we're looking for
basic required qualifications
* coding languages: java, python, sql, javascript, html/css
* framework: python/flask
* experience with adobe creative suite applications
* experience working in a collaborative environment
* understanding of graphic design best practices
additional preferred qualifications
* developer tools and platforms such as git, vs code, gcp, aws, figma, hadoop, alteryx, tableau, jira
* libraries such as pandas, numpy, matplotlib, opencv, requests, beautifulsoup, plotly
* familiarity with generative ai and large language models
